With a fire for feminist ideals, Lisa Del Sesto ignited a spark in California by founding a local women's group. Recognizing the need for a broader reach, she strategically partnered with psychology professor, Raine Palladino, from New York City. This collaboration transformed the local group into a powerhouse for change, blossoming into the national non-profit organization known today as We Are Women Rising.

Lisa Del Sesto
Founder
Lisa Del Sesto has devoted herself to working for justice and gender equality. Her journey began in Long Beach, CA, where she established a local feminist organization called LB/OC Women Rising. This group provided a platform for women in the area to connect, share their concerns, and take action through rallies, marches, and other initiatives. Driven by a desire for broader impact, Lisa continued her mission after leaving California. This led to a powerful collaboration with Raine Palladino.
Raine Palladino
Co-founder
Raine Palladino carved a unique path. As a powerhouse drummer, she pounds the skins in feminist rock bands and challenges gender norms in the music scene. This fiery spirit translated into academia. After graduating with a master's in Psychology from Hunter College in New York, Palladino became a professor specializing in the psychology of women, using her own experiences to inform her research and empower her students.

With a strong passion for feminist empowerment and community building, Keily actively contributes to the We Are Women Rising network. Her valuable experience in higher education's digital learning space informs her approach to building meaningful connections. At We Are Women Rising, Keily is dedicated to fostering a powerful community and strengthening the relationships between its activated members.
